MAcucina – Recipe & Blog Website
A warm, video-led recipe and blog website for macrobiotic cook Olga Seiwert-Häring, built with Next.js, Tailwind and shadcn/ui.
Context
MAcucina is a website for macrobiotic cook and author Olga Seiwert-Häring, built by Heidi as a client project. The brief: give a warm, personal food brand a home online, with recipes, a blog and the story behind the cooking, in German and easy to find on search engines.
What I built
A multi-page recipe and blog site:
- Home page with a full-screen looping video hero and a soft, nature-inspired look, leading visitors to recipes and the blog.
- Recipes and blog sections fed from structured JSON content, so new posts and dishes can be added without touching the layout.
- Featured posts and popular recipes sections on the home page.
- About page telling Olga's own journey to macrobiotics.
- Newsletter sign-up and contact section.
- Light/dark theme support and a fully responsive layout.
- SEO groundwork: page metadata, keywords, canonical URLs and indexing rules in German.
Tech
Next.js · React · TypeScript · Tailwind CSS · shadcn/ui (Radix) · lucide icons
